Privacy Policy
QuietMemo is a private, cross-device note app. We process only the data needed to save, sync, search, export, attach files, and verify subscriptions. We do not sell personal data or use note content for advertising.
Our core commitments
- Your notes belong to you and can be exported at any time.
- QuietMemo does not include built-in AI analysis, and note content is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
- Apple processes App Store payments; QuietMemo never stores complete card details.
- You can delete individual notes, attachments, access tokens, or your entire account.
1. Data we process
Account data
Email address, display name, a one-way password hash, and session identifiers required to keep you signed in.
Your content
Notes, tags, timestamps, pinned and deletion states, version history, and images, audio, or PDF files you choose to upload.
Sync and diagnostic data
Version numbers, cursors, operation identifiers, platform information, and minimal error logs needed to synchronize and protect the service. Production logs should not contain note bodies or passwords.
Subscription data
Product, transaction and original transaction identifiers, subscription status, expiration or revocation dates, and App Store Server Notification events. Apple processes billing details.
2. How we use data
- Provide and protect accounts and sessions.
- Store, search, synchronize, import, export, and recover notes and attachments.
- Restore purchases, verify subscription access, and prevent fraud.
- Diagnose failures, maintain security, and comply with law.
- Respond when you request support.
3. Storage, processors, and transfers
The commercial service stores account and note data in an access-controlled database and attachments in object storage. We share data only with infrastructure providers and Apple as necessary to operate the service, or when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal data.
The Personal NAS edition is hosted in the environment selected by its owner. The owner is responsible for that environment’s access controls, availability, and backups. Service infrastructure may process data outside your country; we apply safeguards required by applicable law.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain data while your account is active. Notes first move to Trash; permanent deletion or account deletion removes associated online notes, attachments, sessions, and access tokens from primary storage. Deleted data may remain briefly in encrypted disaster-recovery backups until their normal rotation completes.
Offline copies remain on a device until the next sync, sign-out, or removal of app data. Personal NAS administrators manage their own snapshots and retention.
5. Your choices and rights
You can access, edit, export, restore, and delete notes; revoke MCP tokens and device sessions; manage subscriptions with Apple; and permanently delete your account in the app. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and receive portable data.
6. Security and children
We use encrypted transport, password hashing, least privilege, session protection, and backups. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. QuietMemo is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by local law.
7. Contact and updates
Material changes will be announced in the app, on this website, or by account email. For privacy or deletion requests, email support@quietmemo.app or visit the Support Center.
